My Worst Shopping Nightmare: A Degrading Experience at Shreve & Co. 😠


I'm writing this not just as a complaint, but as a cautionary tale about my terrible online shopping experience, which began with a terrible in-store interaction. My recent visit to Shreve & Co. for a simple gift purchase for my husband turned into the worst shopping experience I have ever had. The salesperson was unbelievably rude. I wanted to get a gift for my husband, they didn't have this model and he kept offering me women's Rolex 4 times after I told him multiple times I'm not interested in women's watches. He spoke to me in a degrading way and tried to make me look dumb. He didn't offer me any other options and I guess I wasn't welcome there. It was truly awful, which is why I felt compelled to share my experience and reach out to customer service.

Customer: "I just had a truly terrible experience in your store, and I'm quite upset about it." CS Rep: "I'm so sorry to hear that. Could you please tell me more about what happened? I want to understand." Customer: "I came in looking for a gift for my husband, and the salesperson was just incredibly rude. He kept pushing women's watches on me even after I said multiple times I wasn't interested, and he made me feel completely unwelcome." CS Rep: "That sounds absolutely unacceptable, and I sincerely apologize for the way you were treated. No customer should ever feel that way in our store. Could you provide me with the date and approximate time of your visit, and if you remember, the name of the salesperson?" Customer: "I don't remember his name, but it was earlier today, around 2 PM. He didn't offer any other options for my husband, just kept being dismissive and frankly, condescending." CS Rep: "Thank you for that information. We take this feedback very seriously. We will investigate this immediately and address it with our team. Is there anything I can do right now to try and make amends or help you find a suitable gift for your husband, perhaps by connecting you with another salesperson who can provide the excellent service we strive for?"

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
